While the ASPIRE centers originally focused on out-of-school programming for children, over time the ASPIRE Community Centers have grown to become hubs for a wide-range of community services, all at no cost to the beneficiaries. These services include: health clinics, food drives, wellness education workshops, holiday events and donation drives, gardening plots, disaster preparedness workshops and more. ASPIRE Mind Builders

Our Mind Builders program provides a safe space to focus on mental resilience for children K-5, providing workshops for children focused on evidence-based coping skills, emotion management, as well as social communication and support.

The objective of this initiative is to break down barriers, start conversations, and empower children with basic life skills to address challenges such as bullying, self confidence and other insecurities, particularly in the realm of social media.

ASPIRE Mind Builders also guides parents through these same challenges by lifting the curtain on this critical topic for the entire family. The workshops provide strategies to help kids manage stress, overcome setbacks, and build healthy coping mechanisms.

Needless-to-say, workshops are two-fold since they must first teach parents and guardians to build their own resilience, prevent burnout, and create a strong support network that includes

Total health services

In addition to education services, the ASPIRE centers serve as hubs for community health initiatives. Sewa ASPIRE with AmeriCorps, IDA (Indian Doctors Association-Houston) along with other partners like Harris County Department of Education, CenterPoint, HCA healthcare, Precinct 4, Harris County Public Health and several others have successfully hosted Community Clinics at Villa Madrid & Trails of Woodlakes apartment complexes, serving the residents of these communities.

As of 2026, we have been conducting these monthly clinics for over a year on one Saturday each month from 10-1pm along with our weekly vital testing clinics at both the locations. The AmeriCorps members do extensive outreach in the communities to promote the clinic. The Dr's assigned from the Indian Doctor Association volunteer to serve during these clinics. The medical students from Texas A&M Medical school also come and volunteer during these clinics.

During these clinics we do basic vital tests such as glucose check, BP check and vision check using Snellen eye chart. We have also brought Mobile vaccine clinic services through HCPH at each of the centers to provide free vaccines to the communities.
